1. What we collect
When you register as a donor or user, we collect:
- Full name, email address, and mobile phone number
- Age, gender, and blood group
- State and city of residence
- Donation history (dates you mark yourself)
We also collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance monitoring.
2. How we use your information
- To display your donor profile in search results so patients can find you
- To send account-related emails (email verification, password reset)
- To enforce donation eligibility windows (90 days after each donation)
- To detect and prevent abuse of the platform
3. Phone number visibility
Your phone number is never displayed publicly. It is revealed only after a visitor solves a math challenge (captcha), which limits automated scraping. We rate-limit reveals to 20 per hour per IP address.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party. We use Brevo (Sendinblue) to deliver transactional emails. No marketing emails are sent.
5. Data security
All traffic is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with a work factor of 12. Your email address is not shown to other users under any circumstance.
6. Your rights
- Pause visibility: You can hide yourself from search results at any time from your dashboard.
- Edit your profile: You can update your blood group, phone, location, and name at any time.
- Account deletion: Contact us to permanently delete your account and all associated data.
7. Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
